We’ll be in a few places again this year, here’s the scoop.
The 33rd annual Christmas Bazaar runs two weekends, Nov. 28th-30th and Dec. 5th-7th.
It’s at the Portland Expo Center, and features 450 booths of handcrafted goods and 900 booths all together. You’ll find us in section D3, near the very center of Hall D.
Crafty Wonderland is Dec. 13th and 14th this year from 11am-6pm.
It’s a little closer to town at the Oregon convention center in the rose quarter.
Our store and workshop on SE Division will also stay open 10-6:30 daily through December 23rd, with the exception of thanksgiving.
We’ve have tons of bags ready to look through in store and at the shows. We’ll also be taking orders for the holidays through early December, exact cut off date TBD.
Keep an eye out for our Blaq Friday sale too!
They’ve got BlaqPaks in stock along with goods ranging from belt buckles, bikes, axes, knives and guitars to soaps, glassware and art, jackets and liqour all made in Portland by small outfits like ours. Don’t miss this collection while it’s there, we were blown away by the all of the things that are being made here.
We’ll be celebrating 7 years and the Grand Opening of our new store and workshop on Saturday, June 14th!
Our 7th anniversary sale starts at 10am & the party starts at 7pm. We’ve got a few things up our sleeve, including:
Open mural wall, bring your own art or post up one of our friends pieces for them. Everyone’s welcome but it’ll be indoors so if you paint you can’t spray it (this time).
Wolfgang sfx and Matt Schlosky will be drawing caricatures starting at 7, you definitely can’t miss out on this.
Live music at 6pm and a DJ set beginning at 7.
Raffle drawing at the end of the night, make sure to stop in and sign up anytime on Saturday! Someone is going home with some stenciled posters from Rx, Skam, Rasterbator and Voxx; these are never for-sale and are generally un-obtainable, except for this raffle. We’ll also have sticker packs, blaqpaks goods and a few surprises to win.
We’ll tap a keg around 6 and have some snacks & n/a beverages too. We’ll be drawing the raffle after 10pm and ending the night with a ride, leaving from blaqpaks by 11.

If you’re in the area we’ll be setting up at several shows this year.
We’ll have lots of inventory and smaller items on hand at each show, stop by, say hi and see some items you won’t find online. Our shop at SE 11th and Division will also be open 10am – 6:30pm daily with limited, extended hours TBD through Dec 23rd. Happy Holidays!
Our integrated E.L. lights run on twin AA batteries and can flash for 60 hours, they are
incredibly bright at night. Right now we’re offering single strips in aqua, white, red, blue
and green on our entire line of Messenger bags. Panniers, backpacks will be available
in the near future and they can be integrated into cargo bike canopies on request.
We’ve been working with and testing Electro-Luminecent tape since integrating it into
the panniers on Rob Tsunehiro and Silas Beebe’s 2011 Oregon manifest bike. They’ve
been sneaking out in bags for awhile now, most recently on the concept Porteur bag for
Breadwinner’s Arbor Lodge. It’s the best active safety feature we could add to our bags.
Paired with passive reflective material and a tail light for your bike you can always count
on being as visible as possible at night.
Cobra buckle’s are now standard hardware for all Messenger bags.
We set out to find a buckle that spoke to the quality of our bags and found the perfect match.
We’ve been testing them out on bags for over a year now, and using them for the last 3
on our Last belts. We can’t overstate how much we love them, no hardware comes close to
the form or function of these buckcles. Stop by the shop and test ride a bag if you can!
